College of Engineering and Engineering Technology

On behalf of the College of Engineering and Engineering Technology (E&ET), I want to welcome you to our website. The College of E&ET was established in 1972 to provide professional education consistent with the mission of McNeese State University. The College is home to the Department of Engineering and the Department of Engineering Technology.

The Department of Engineering offers a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree with concentrations in Chemical, Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical engineering and a Master of Engineering degree with concentrations in Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical engineering and Engineering Management. The Department of technology offers Associate and Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology with concentrations in Electronics, Instrumentation, and Process Plant technology. All undergraduate engineering and engineering technology programs are accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). They combine the breadth and depth of engineering and technology fundamentals with the practical, hands-on aspect of the profession and that make our graduates very competitive among their peers.

The College of E&ET is proud to have an excellent faculty, with exemplary qualifications and accomplishments and many years of industrial experience ready to serve the students both inside and outside the classroom. Our well-equipped facilities are kept up-to-date, and serve our needs and the needs of industry well.

The College of E&ET is committed to provide each of our students with individualized attention, excellent advising and a well-rounded education.

Now is the perfect time to consider a career in Engineering or Engineering Technology. The rapid advancement of technology and globalization of the economy continue to fuel a healthy demand for engineers and technicians at the national level which makes the job outlook in related careers very promising.
