The McNeese Review, published since 1948, serves as a forum for articles and essays in the arts, humanities, and social sciences. The editorial policy and reviewing processes of The McNeese Review are formulated and supervised by an editorial board comprised of scholars in various humanities and social science disciplines. The McNeese Review is published annually.
The editorial board of The McNeese Review welcomes submissions that exhibit high academic standards and the potential to interest educated readers regardless of their academic specialty. The board particularly desires submissions that are interdisciplinary in nature and address contemporary issues in scholarship.
The editorial board prefers articles of 20 to 30 pages in length, formatted with footnotes and a bibliography. Chicago Manual is the recommended style; however, discipline specific documentation styles are fine as long as they contain footnotes and a bibliography. Authors may include black-and-white photographs with their submissions (photocopies are okay for initial submission). Authors must secure permissions required to use material and are solely responsible for matters of factual accuracy, documentation, and the opinions expressed in their articles. Electronic submissions are encouraged.
